In athletics, the underpinning movements of all the events are jumping, running and throwing.  To do these well, balance and coordination have to be developed early on in an athlete’s career as these skills provide the platform from which movement can be learned.  Fun athletic games at an early age can be used to do this.  By also providing evidence of improvement, motivation and enthusiasm can often be fostered.  In the long term, with enthusiasm and motivation cultivated, the basics of balance and coordination in place, it is possible for your athlete to get close to reaching their full potential.  However, there are many challenges which need to be met along the way. » » » Read more
